Qualities of a Good Student

To be a good student requires skill. First, it is important to be well organized. Good students keep track of their assignments in all subjects in a daily planner. This helps them be prepared with homework and ready for tests. Second, active listening is an essential skill for good students.
When students actively listen in class, they look at the teacher or their fellow student who is speaking to focus their attention. Goof students set aside other work so they are not distracted. Third, good students recognize the value of teamwork. Working together with fellow students on a group project helps everyone learn. By also cooperating with teachers and other staff good students are responsible. When students are responsible, they take charge of their own lives and are accountable for their actions.
Clearly, it takes time and effort to develop the sills necessary to be a good student. When young men and women take the time and put in the effort to organize, actively listen, cooperate and behave responsibly, the rewards are great.
